Legal Disclaimer & Risk Governance Framework
The standard legal disclaimer language that accompanies a published BCI Lab report.
An earlier internal draft circulated under this title, labeled v2.0 with no registered predecessor and never formally reviewed. This document supersedes it as the first governance-approved version, and is repositioned as the standard disclaimer language appended to an individual BCI Lab report, rather than a third, independent restatement of commitments already defined in the Independence & Conflict of Interest Policy and the Terms of Service.
This Framework sets out the standard legal disclaimer language that accompanies a published BCI Lab report. It summarizes commitments defined in full in BCI Lab's other governing documents. It does not restate them in full and does not create a different standard from the one they set out.
BCI Lab maintains no equity participation, advisory mandate, sponsorship arrangement, or contingent compensation structure with any entity referenced in a report. This is an unconditional commitment, not one that a written disclosure can waive. A conflict identified after publication is disclosed through an addendum, consistent with the Independence & Conflict of Interest Policy, which this Framework does not restate.
A BCI Lab report is a structural diagnostic analysis. It does not constitute an operational directive, investment advice, legal advice, an underwriting opinion, a solicitation, or a recommendation to transact in a financial instrument or a corporate interest.
BCI Lab's variables, Meaning Tension, Perceptual Legibility, Time Structure, and Energy State, identify a structural condition and, where a forward scenario is included, a directional trajectory. They are not a short-term market price forecast.
All strategic, financial, operational, and legal decisions remain the sole responsibility of the relevant management body, board, or investment committee. Reliance on a BCI Lab report does not transfer fiduciary responsibility to BCI Lab.
BCI Lab's structural diagnostics isolate internal structural variables. BCI Lab assumes no responsibility for an outcome primarily driven by a macroeconomic shock, a regulatory shift, a geopolitical conflict, a currency crisis, or another exogenous disruption outside the model's structural scope.
The pre-publication factual review available to a covered entity, and its post-publication right of response, are defined in the Independence & Conflict of Interest Policy. This Framework does not restate their terms; where a description here and the Policy's own terms differ, the Policy governs.
The retention standard for the data behind a published report is set out in the Independence & Conflict of Interest Policy. BCI Lab reserves the right to extend a retention period beyond that standard where a regulatory inquiry or a litigation risk requires it.
The core variable definitions, the master formula, and the dimensional framework underlying a BCI Lab report are published openly and made available for reference and citation. What remains the exclusive intellectual property of BCI Lab is the specific weighting architecture and internal scoring coefficients behind an individual reading. A public disclosure of the conceptual framework does not extend to the executable parameters behind it. Unauthorized reproduction, reverse engineering, redistribution, or commercial exploitation of BCI Lab's proprietary architecture is prohibited.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BCI Lab is not liable for a direct or indirect financial loss, a trading loss, an opportunity cost, a reputational harm, or a strategic execution failure arising from reliance on a BCI Lab report.
Across BCI Lab's independently verified backtest registry, a structural signal has preceded financial confirmation by six to eighteen months for a deteriorating asset, and by twenty to twenty-seven months where structural strength preceded a positive market re-rating. A gap between a structural signal and its financial confirmation does not, on its own, invalidate the signal.
A BCI Lab report is issued for analytical and governance purposes. Its use for brand defamation, competitive market manipulation, selective quotation outside its analytical context, or a public-relations confrontation is prohibited. BCI Lab's safeguards against this kind of misuse are set out in the Misuse Prevention & Interpretive Safeguards protocol. BCI Lab disclaims responsibility for a reputational dispute arising from an unauthorized third party's citation or distortion of its findings.
Methodological consistency and procedural integrity currently rest with BCI Lab's Founding Partner, pending the formation of the Governance Committee described in the Independence & Conflict of Interest Policy. A material methodological change is documented through a version update, recorded in the Methodology Version Register. Where a jurisdictional compliance framework requires it, BCI Lab reserves the right to cooperate with a lawful regulatory inquiry.
This Framework operates together with the BCI Lab Institutional Charter, the BCI Structural Integrity Protocol, the Public Protocol Annex, the Independence & Conflict of Interest Policy, the Terms of Service, and the Privacy Policy. Where a specific commitment is addressed in more detail in one of those documents, that document governs on the point it addresses. The authoritative record of every document's current version is maintained in the Methodology Version Register.
This Framework, and BCI Lab's frameworks and reports generally, are governed exclusively by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
